I find that extremely unfair. The point of having groups is for people of similar interests to gather together and share their work, and their love and creativity for this particular interest that brought them together. Having an elitist attitude not only kills the fun and connection of a group, but it also hurts people's self-confidence, which in turn effects their artistic growth.
And besides, this isn't a corporate competition or a job market rally. This is an art site where we get together to share our artwork with other artists. The point is to have fun, not just cut people out because of differences in skill.
